FIELD: technical microbiology. SUBSTANCE: new strain of bacterium Pseudomonas putida VKPM B-6641 produces petroleum-soluble biopolymer in the process its culturing on new mineral medium. Biopolymer does not require its isolation from cultural fluid. Strain is cultured on the new mineral medium containing molasses or ethanol as carbon and energy source. Culturing time is 18-21 h on medium with molasses and 36-42 h on medium with ethanol. Biopolymer yield is 14 and 8 g/l, respectively (by dry matter). Cultural fluid of Pseudomonas putida or dried (at 80 C) cultural fluid is a preparation "Pseudopol" that can be used for oil output increase.
