FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing parts with nitrocementation (cementation) with low allowances for mechanical conversion after heat treatment. Cooling time from austenitization temperature to 100 C is determined for one part belonging to serial manufacture party. The part is hardened in cold oil to 100 C, transferred into boiling water, held there for 10- 15 min, and then cooled in air. EFFECT: extended production possibilities of low-deformation hardening in oil and reduced strains. 2 tbl
