FIELD: bore-hole drilling equipment and machinery. SUBSTANCE: this can be used for drilling inclined and deep horizontal bore-hole at high bottom-hole temperatures. Located in turbo-drill body is turbine. Connected with turbine is reduction unit having input and output shafts and gear transmission. Also provided is spindle with axial and radial supports on shaft. Output shaft of reduction unit is connected with spindle shaft through torsion shaft. Bodies of reduction unit and spindle are connected through adapter. Torsion shaft is embraced by protective bush with clearance. Protective bush creates circular clearance with inner surface of adapter. Reduction unit, torsion shaft and spindle supports are installed in common oil-filled chamber which is made hermetically tight by seals. Drilling fluid passes through circular passage inside bodies of turbine, reduction unit, spindle and adapter. Shafts and transmission components are protected from overloads by torsion due to its resilient pliability. In application of adapter with misaligned axes, torsion shaft is coupled with adjacent shaft ball joints. Protective bush is provided with sealing members which allow for angular displacement of bodies without disturbing tightness. In this case, torsion shaft functions as universal-joint shaft, and reduction-unit turbo-drill functions as whipstock. Aforesaid embodiment allows for reduction of dynamic loads brought to bear on shafts and components of turbo-drill, and enlarges potentiality of control over bore-hole trajectory.
