FIELD: light engineering. SUBSTANCE: reflector surface is smooth second-degree surface. Reflector provides for light distribution throughout monitoring screen in the form of horizontal strip whose length, illumination, and sharpness of upper light-shadow boundary comply with ECE code. Therefore, there is no need to place optical members on head-lamp protective glass which makes it possible to adjust shape of protective glass including that inclined through large angle in vertical plane. Lamp light can be fully utilized which enables reduction of lamp size or increase in its light flux in front of vehicle without reducing its size. Head-lamp has reflector built up of four sectors which are single-type surfaces gradually turning one into other; it also has lamp with horizontal cylindrical filament body perpendicular relative to head-lamp axis, and protective glass without optical members. EFFECT: reduced size of head-lamp, improved utilization of lamp light. 7 cl, 9 dwg
