FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device has one flexible thread of preset length which ends are connected through restoring elements with basing elements, one housing reading unit made in the form of optoelectron converter with reflector optically coupled to converter and hinged to converter. It is connected to one of restoring elements with the use of tie-rod. Reflector can be manufactured in the form of isosceles mirror prism from optical glass with transparent base facing optoelectron converter and mirror faces inclined at angle of 45 deg. Increased accuracy of check is achieved by usage of optoelectron converter combining source and detector of directed radiation in the capacity of reading unit which makes it possible to use isosceles mirror prism. When TV camera is used as radiation detector it ensures accuracy equal to its resolving power. Decreased time of process of check is provided by usage of information recording unit in optoelectron converter in addition to information processing unit which allows processes of check and recording of results with movement of basing elements to be combined.
