FIELD: recovery of spent nuclear fuel. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing of three components, first (source) one being burnt-up fuel and two other components (waste or depleted uranium hexafluoride and up to 100% enriched uranium hexafluoride) added to it. In the course of mixing, content of both fissionable isotopes (uranium-235) and harmful ones (uranium-232 and uranium-236) is checked and adjusted. Components are mixed up until predetermined concentration is obtained. High (predetermined) concentration of fissionable nuclide of uranium-235 is attained at low (predetermined) concentration of harmful isotopes of uranium- 232, uranium-234, and uranium-236 in recovered nuclear fuel along with high homogeneity of distribution of uranium-235 fissionable isotope in uranium isotope mixture. EFFECT: improved concentration of fissionable nuclide at low concentration of harmful isotopes in recovered nuclear fuel. 2 cl, 1 dwg
