FIELD: lighting appliances. SUBSTANCE: lantern is intended for use on monuments, bases of monuments, crosses at burial places for example in cemeteries. Lantern has body of rectangular configuration with vessel for fuel such as oil. Vessel is formed by lower part of body and its depth if equal to 1/3 of body height. Made on upper edge of vessel are protrusions, and mounted on these protrusions is float with wick. Made in front part of body is opening with slots along lantern body. Protective glass is seated in aforesaid slots. Body cover has holes, and it is installed in slots in upper part of body. Lantern ensures long period of burning, fire-safety, and possibility of installing in niches of worship structures. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl, 12 dwg
