FIELD: production of nitrocellulose. SUBSTANCE: cotton linter is nitrated and then it is treated by 0.2-1.6 % aqueous solution of oxidant, the process is carried out at temperature not higher 100 C. Thus prepared nitrocellulose is autoclaved, the process takes place in water at temperature higher 100 C or in 0.51-0.79 % aqueous solution of nitric acid. Then nitrocellulose is treated with 0.1-1.6 % aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, the process is carried out at pH not more 10 and at temperature not higher 100 C.
