FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing fibrous starch materials by way of extruding dispersion or aqueous solutions of starch materials into salt coagulant stream. According to invention, extrusion is effected through microporous tubular wall into chamber surrounding this wall in such a manner as to provide extruded starch material stream surrounding these tubular walls, whereas coagulation of extruded material is accomplished by means of directing coagulant stream into annular chamber in parallel to the surface of extruded material. Manufactured fibers are useful, in particular, when producing paper replacing cellulose fibers or being in common use with them. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency. 14 cl, 4 dwg , 3 tbl
