FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed method to increase efficiency of internal combustion engine comes to supplying energy carrier (fuel) into above-piston space in form of two deliveries and firing the carrier. Second delivery of fuel is carried out when piston executes working stroke. Angle between connecting rod and crank of crankshaft is 150-190 degrees, and nominal mass of energy carrier for both deliveries remains constant for proposed method of operation.
