METHOD TO TREAT ENDOMETRITIS IN COWS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary science, veterinary gynecology. SUBSTANCE: method deals with treatment of early endometritis detected in cows on 6th-12th day after calving. Therapy is conducted by intrauterine sanation with 0.3-% desaxone water solution at the dose of 50-200 ml simultaneously with intramuscular injection of prostaglandin F2-alpha at the dose of 2-3 ml per a cow, and endometritis detected on 15th-25th day after calving - due to intrauterine sanation with 0.3-0.5-% desaxone water solution at the same dose (50-200 ml) simultaneously with intramuscular injection of 2-3 ml of 2-% synestrol solution. Treatment should be carried out thrice not more at an interval of 72 h. Desaxone solution should be introduced for cows with the help of uterine catheter connected with a Janet's syringe. EFFECT: higher efficiency to be used on cows at cattle farms and large-scale farm complexes, to decrease therapy course and improve infertility level in cows. 1 tbl
