FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, steel continuous casting machines. SUBSTANCE: method includes removal of coating and subsequent recovery of initial sizes of internal working hollow of sleeve. After removal of coating from the sleeve internal side, it is ground and furnished by mandrel with 3-15% reduction of sleeve wall in thickness and 0.5-3% increase of internal sizes of working hollow for each wall. Then sleeve is drawn on long inner die insert having sizes of initial working hollow of sleeve, through die with wall thickness reduction by 5-25%. EFFECT: reduced consumption of copper in reconditioning of mold sleeves. 2 dwg
