FIELD: production of thermal elastic plastics on the base of diones and vinyl aromatic monomers; protection of thermal elastic plastics against ageing. SUBSTANCE: method for stabilization involves adding of stabilizing agent, agent of phenol type being used. Quantity of said agent is 0.2-2.0 weight parts per 100 weight parts of thermal elastic plastics. Mixture of hindered phenols which comprises 2-16 wt.p. of 4-methyl-2,6-di-tert-butyl phenol, 4-16 wt. p. of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-nonyl phenol, 10-22 wt.p. of 2,2′-methylene-bis(4-methyl-6-tert-butyl phenol), 35-45 wt.p. of 2-(1-oxy-4-methyl-6-tert-butyl phenyl)-2′-(1′-oxy-4′-nonyl-6′-tert-butyl phenyl)methane and 8-33 wt. p. of 2,2′-methylene-bis(4-nonyl-6-tert-butyl phenol) is used as stabilizing agent.
