FIELD: pipeline maintenance. SUBSTANCE: composition is designed to form gel-like piston (separator) when successively pumping through different-type petroleum derivatives and also when cleaning main and oil-field pipelines. Such composition contains water-soluble ethylenediamine-based alkylene oxide block copolymer and cross- linking agent Ц dimethyldiallylammonium chloride polymerization product at their volume ratio (1-1.5):1, respectively. The thus obtained gel has sufficiently stable and strong structure well remembering shape of the pipe cross-section. EFFECT: simplified and automated operation. 1 tbl
