FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: vortex tube has gas energy separation chamber 4, heat exchanger-regenerator 14, jet ejectors 20, axial nozzle grid 17, diaphragm with axial diffuser 6 and axial pneumomechanica; polyfrequency sound oscillator 7 adjoining diffuser 6. Vortex tube may be additionally provided with axial pneumomechanical polyfrequency sound oscillator 16 and external branch pipe 18 for removal of cold flow from cold chamber 11 to heat exchanger-regenerator 14. Oscillator 16 is simultaneously used as choke. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of vortex tube due to recovery of heat of cold flow in heat exchanger-regenerator and due to enhanced efficiency of gas energy separation process. 3 cl, 3 dwg
