FIELD: refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: vortex tube, operating according to the latest progressive process of gas energy separation, is a tube with internal heat regeneration. In such a vortex tube the process of energy separation proceeds simultaneously with the process of turbulization of working medium in the energy separation chamber. The tube can be used in gas industry, since it provides for replacement of throttles in which the Joule-Thomson effect is implemented, decreasing the natural gas temperature at throttling, which causes a necessity to warm it up so as to prevent frosting-up of pressure regulator. An intolerable large amount of gas is consumed for auxiliary power. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 2 dwg
