FIELD: ophthalmology, applicable in treatment of disturbance of binocular vision. SUBSTANCE: a pair of slides, having both common (similar) objects or details and additional (different) ones, are imaged on a metal-backed screen with the aid of two slide projectors additionally furnished with polarizing filters with mutually perpendicular planes of polarization. Images of common details on the screen are matched and seen by the patient (in polarizing spectacles) alternately now by one, now by the other eye, now by both of them due to the half-disk shutter rotating before the objective lenses (at a frequency below the critical frequency of confluence of flickers). In the conditions of polarizing separation of visual fields additional details are seen separately for each eye and at rotation of the shutter are presented also alternately. Such a periodicity of perception of image facilitates disinhibition of the functional system and stimulates development of bifixation reflex. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness. 1 dwg
