FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, pressure die casting equipment. SUBSTANCE: plasticizing cylinder has housing 1, screw 2 disposed in housing 1 and made in the form of electromechanical converter mounted for axial movement and hopper 3 for feeding polymeric material. Rotary auger 4 is positioned concentrically to screw 2 within housing 1 to define active cover plate of at least one electromechanical ultrasonic converter 5. Screw 2 rotates in opposite direction with respect to that of auger 4. Through openings 12 are made in ultrasonic vibrations antinode zone of active cover plate of ultrasonic converter in spaced relation to working end, with space being at least equal to half the length of ultrasonic wave. Axes of openings are extending perpendicular to central axis of screw 2. Opening spacing is equal to half the length of ultrasonic wave. Nuts with gas discharge filters made from ceramic porous material are rigidly fastened in openings. Nuts are provided with channels for removal of gases in the process of casting and with rotating balls. Screw 2 and auger 4 define active cover plates provided with vibration source having piezoelectric cells, conducting washers, nonconducting sleeve and plugs adapted for tightening active and passive cover plates and located by means of pins. During rotation of auger 4, plasticizing cylinder is charged in cyclic and controlled mode of functioning. According to one version, plasticizing cylinder is charged in continuous and controlled mode with melt.
