FIELD: railway track maintenance equipment. SUBSTANCE: checking stand is intended for stationary use in repair workshops which serve sections of railways. Stand has base and secured to one end of base is horizontal hinge connected with bar. Attached to other end of base are cheeks. Attached to cheeks by means of horizontal hinge is lever. Fastened on lever are stops. Distance between vertical faces of stops corresponds to rail track gauge, dimension of trough, values of ordinates, and distance between check rail and frog. Fastened on end of lever is roller which rests on one of flats of stepped bar. Center of gravity of lever is located near axis and this equalizes lever and template and facilitates operation at stand. Application of aforesaid stand makes easier checking of template parameters such as width and level without its sophistication and in sufficiently short period of time.
