FIELD: small-caliber ammunition. SUBSTANCE: bullet has a slug of wrought metal symmetrically arranged relative to its longitudinal axis. The slug front end has a recess with a forward expanding section and an aligned expansion adjoining the smaller base. Metal envelope closes the greatest section of the slug and expanding section of the recess. The recess expanding section of the envelope has several radial slots spaced in circumference. The slots form tapered prongs in the envelope, each prong is made with a strengthened transitional area at the recess inlet and at least with one strengthening rib at least on one of the prongs at the recess inlet. EFFECT: enhanced injury of soft tissues at controlled penetration. 8 cl, 8 dwg
