FIELD: identification of genuine securities. SUBSTANCE: method involves illumination of bank note being verified by ultraviolet radiation source, reception of reflected light flux by photodetector, and measurement of its brightness level. Light flux reflected from bank note being verified is received by photodetector and its brightness level is measured in ultraviolet region of spectrum corresponding to spectrum of ultraviolet radiation source; bank note is verified for genuineness by results of comparison of measured brightness levels of light fluxes reflect 4d from bank note being verified and from reference one in ultraviolet region of spectrum. EFFECT: improved reliability of distinguishing genuine bonds or other securities from spurious ones.
