FIELD: bank equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves scanning bank note by means of special-purpose scanning devices, production of its image in three spectra: in visible light, infrared and ultraviolet light, transmitting image to computer and processing it using image recognition software. Authenticity of bank note rests on comparison of infrared and ultraviolet images against reference one. Device provides analysis of complete image of bank notes.
