FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, manufacture of laminated honeycomb panels of titanium alloys. SUBSTANCE: honeycombs filler is placed between layers of casing, and diffusion welding of filler with casing plates is performed. Honeycomb filler is made of a strip. The strip subjected to heat treatment. It is heated to a temperature exceeding the α → β laser beam transition temperature. Laser beam has a focal spot diameter of not less than two and not more than four strip thicknesses. Beam is moved in transverse direction over the entire strip width by lines with a pace of not less than four and not more than six strip widths. In the process of diffusion welding the treated sections allow the filler strip stability at an upset, and the non-treated sections provide for formation of a high-quality joint having the same strength as the base material at welding on any surface. EFFECT: enhanced quality of joint.
