FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes preparation of new compound based on boron and nitrogen of formula (I): . Present invention also describes method of preparing said compound of formula (I). The claimed method comprises partially or completely reducing triple carbon-carbon bonds to double, or optionally to simple carbon-carbon bonds. Besides, present invention describes method or preparing polymers based on boron and nitrogen which comprises subjecting compound of formula (I) or reduced product thereof to heat treatment with or without cationic or anionic catalyst containing free radicals and/or based on transition metals. Finally, present invention describes method of manufacturing ceramic boron nitride material which comprises subjecting the resulting polymers described above to pyrolysis. Compounds I have very high activity. Thus, polymerized and cross-linked compound are readily obtained without using additional reactants.
