FIELD: mechanical engineering; production and repair of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: at acceleration-runout conditions accelerations and runouts are carried out cyclically in range of rotational speeds from minimum to preset value by sequentially increasing fuel delivery from cycle to cycle in the range from minimum value at the beginning of running-in to maximum value at the end of running-in. According to proposed invention, at acceleration of engine fuel delivery in increased constantly, and acceleration of engine at the following cycle is started from delivery of fuel equal to that at the end of preceding cycle. EFFECT: provision of running-in at transient conditions with simultaneous change of number of revolutions and fuel delivery close to those at normal operation. 1 dwg
