FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has spade with stepped foot drive for lifting loaded spade upward in vertical plane and advancing it and handling cars mounted on caterpillar tracks and provided with manual drive for moving spade mechanism with spade. Spade mechanism has boom and spade fastening pivot joint. Perpendicular pivot pin is coupled with boom end by screws-pins for providing different angular positions of spade. Pivot joint allows spade to be rotated about its longitudinal axis through 360 deg. Opposite end of boom is connected with two pairs of tines whose lower ends are coupled with base having supports. Spade lower part holders are fixed in front of base and spade upper part is secured to boom pivot joint. Bracket of foot drive is attached on base mid portion. Foot drive lever is attached to bracket top part on pin and provided with pedal for lifting boom with spade up in vertical plane, i.e. first lifting step. Parallelogram fixed on the same pin has levers and pedal for simultaneously lifting spade upward and advancing it, i.e. second lifting step. Main caterpillar-mounted handling car has manual drive for transporting spade mechanism with spade to the left or to the right for any unfixed stroke. Auxiliary car is positioned at an angle to main car and adapted for transporting main car forward and backward. Apparatus facilitates digging of soil for planting and digging of soil during planting. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 6 dwg
