Control member 32 is mounted within toothbrush for moving between first position, in which one or each opening 26 of head 20 is closed, and second position, in which one or each opening 26 is open. Displacement of control member 32 from first to second position allows paste 4 to flow from container 2 through one or each opening 26 of head 20 onto bristles 20 of toothbrush.
