FIELD: search and rescue operations, search for biological objects or their remains buried during earthquakes or lost mountaineers. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based on capability of biological objects including their remains to distort actively phase characteristics of background electromagnetic field of the Earth having nature of noise with distributed continuous spectrum in range of very long radio waves on certain fixed frequencies independent of time of their formation. When device designed for realization of this method is moved over buried object of search difference signal emerges across output of D.C. amplifier that exceeds balancing voltage from output of compensation unit which value is established with static compensation for noise background and value of threshold of element established by voltage from output of unit controlling value of threshold with dynamic compensation for noise background. As result of this integrator starts integration and voltage across its output begins to change abruptly up to saturation of integrator which is displayed on indicating element.
