FIELD: household equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing washing liquid with textile article to low-frequency oscillation modulated ultrasonic vibrations, with intensity of ultrasonic vibrations being set for value below cavitation threshold. Low-frequency oscillations are localized on surface of contaminated filaments of textile article, which is nonlinear medium facilitating demodulation of modulated ultrasonic vibrations. The process is provided at intensity of ultrasonic vibrations not exceeding cavitation threshold which is 0.3 W/sq cm at frequency of 20 kHz, i.e. less than that required for known ultrasonic washing method based on cavitational effect. Contaminations are separated from textile article at any ultrasonic vibration modulation frequency within the range of from 40 to 1,000 Hz. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and improved quality of washed article. 1 dwg
