PLIABLE ANCHOR Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this is intended for supporting underground mine workings. Pliable anchor has following components: rod, spacer member, thrust washer, and nut. Rod has flat slot and longitudinal grooves. In side opposite to slot, there is cylindrical smooth or fluted surface. Anchor is provided with setting wedge having spacer member located in aforesaid slot. Beginning of incline plane of wedge is made with bevel for spacer member to get over wedge. Provided in end of incline plane of wedge is threshold to limit slipping of spacer member. There is setting stop with setting pin in end face of wedge. Internal side of wedge has convex longitudinal guides which conjugate with profile of longitudinal grooves of flat slot. Made in external side of wedge is longitudinal groove in the form of isosceles trapezium. Internal side of spacer member is profiled so as to correspond to respective groove in wedge and has chamfer for wedge to go under spacer member. In external side of spacer member there is cylindrical-taper surface with acute angled protrusion in end part. Aforesaid embodiment provides for higher load-bearing capacity of anchor, ensures pliability and high resistance, simplifies manufacture of anchor. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 dwg
