WINDSHIELD WIPER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; automobiles with limited space for wiper mounting. SUBSTANCE: windshield wiper has bracket 1 made in form of solid elongated part with mounting holes 2 at the ends for fitting on studs 3 of automobile body 4 through gaskets 5. It has also geared motor 6 installed on bracket 1 through L-shaped support plate 7, large tie-rods 10, small tie-rods 11 and crank 12 designed for converting rotary motion of reared motor into reciprocating motion of wiper blade, and additional U-shaped support member 13. L-shaped support plate 7 has larger part 14 and smaller part 15 and is installed on bracket 1 through its larger part 14 on which geared motor 6 is mounted by backward bending of end of larger part 14. Additional U-shaped support member 13 is rigidly coupled by end faces 17 of sides with body 4, and its bridge 18 is rigidly connected by fastener 19 through gasket 20 with smaller part 15 of L-shaped support plate 7. EFFECT: provision of windshield wiper with sufficiently simple and reliable fastening of gear motor on bracket in underhood space of automobile. 6 cl, 2 dwg
