FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: under conditions of reduced road holding capacity of wheel, to prevent skidding, brake pressure is sharply reduced and then it is restored to corrected level and held at this level for preset time period after which pressure is raised at preset rate until relative slipping of wheels becomes equal to 0.8-0.9 of relative slipping value corresponding to maximum value of wheel road holding coefficient. EFFECT: reduced braking distance of vehicle under reduced road holding capacity by increasing mean realized brake torque, enhanced service reliability of vehicle. 2 dwg
