FIELD: military equipment. SUBSTANCE: solid-propellant rocket engine works on solid composite propellant; it has bottom, envelope, end elastic compensators and nozzle unit. Each compensator is made in form of circular solid insert of varying thickness in longitudinal section. One part of insert has cylindrical form over outer surface with taper inner surface. Other part of insert is made in form of hollow truncated cone whose length ranges from 0.01 to 0.03 of length of change case; diameter at lesser section ranges from 0.8 to 0.92 of diameter of change case and thickness of wall ranges from 0.01 to 0.03 diameter of change case. Compensators are fastened to metal ferrule only over their outer cylindrical surface. EFFECT: simplified construction and enhanced reliability of attachment of solid propellant charge inside body of rocket section under any temperature conditions. 3 dwg
