FIELD: rocketry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed solid-propellant charge for gas generator consists of ballistic type propellant and end burning grain and two-layer heat protective coating. Inner layer of heat protective coating consists of acrylate inhibiting coating of thickness equal to 0.02-0.03 of diameter of solid propellant grain reliably connected with solid propellant grain. Outer layer of heat protective coating is either cup connected through bottom by means of elastic strong polyurethane insert with restricted-burning grain or shell fitted on restricted-burning grain. Cup is made of strong heat-resistant material, for instance, fiber-glass plastic. Thickness of polyurethane insert over periphery is not less than 0.03 of diameter of solid propellant grain. Cup or shell have thickness equal to 0.01-0.02 of diameter of solid-propellant grain. Minimum clearance is left between restricted-burning grain and cup or shell.
EFFECT: provision of high reliability and control of quality of solid-propellant charge operating within wide temperature range.
