FIELD: small arms; may be used in stabilization of barrel of rifled automatic rapid-fire arms relative to sighting position. SUBSTANCE: barrel of rifled arm is stabilized due to action of powder gases onto muzzle adapter to develop force counteracting barrel displacement from the sighting position. In this case, muzzle adapter is made with inclined relative to barrel surfaces, for instance, in the form of spiral which are made with inclination opposite to barrel rifling. Due to this barrel is stabilized in angular direction and efficiency of target hitting is increased with reduced number of shots. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl
