FLOAT Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: amateur and sports fishing. SUBSTANCE: float has cylindrical housing, guide member, hollow cylindrical member, plastic ring, spiral spring and two flat springs made of high strength corrosionproof steel wire, and frame plastic member. Fishing line loop is passed through hollow cylindrical member, guide with hook and sinker is connected with fishing line by loops, and required depth is set by moving the ball along fishing line. Flat springs are adjusted for easy operation at sufficiently reliable holding of spiral spring in cocked up position by moving the ring along housing, then float is cocked up, bait is set on hook and casting is done. When fish bites the bait, ball presses on end face of member and the latter, with its cylindrical projection moves flat spring bends apart bringing them out of engagement with conical projection of other member. The latter, under action of compressed spiral spring, jumps up, pushing out member with cylindrical projection, thus setting the hook. EFFECT: improved reliability of hook setting when angling. 5 dwg
