FIELD: medicine, biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves addition of urotropin or alkaline metal salts solution to acetate solution of collagen treated with alkali at stirring to pH 4.3-5.3 in mixture. Precipitated fibrils are washed out with water and liquid phase excess is removed to protein content 1.20-3.50%. Then paste-like substance is stabilized with glutaric aldehyde, treated with hydrogen peroxide solution, washed out, liquid phase excess is removed and sterilized by irradiation at dose 15-25 kGr. Collagen fibrils can be isolated in the presence of acid glycoseaminoglycans (up to 10% of collagen content). Base can contain drugs that are resistant to irradiation, hydroxylapatite or osseous flour powder. Method can be used for preparing sterile base used for wound treatment and implantation.
