SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new medicinal formulations designated for treatment of wound surfaces and to methods for their preparing. Wound coating of spongy type comprises a mixture of collagen-like protein and chitosan as a base with structure-forming agent, for example, glutaraldehyde. Also, coating comprises organic acid and accessory substances. As organic acid the coating comprises polybasic carboxylic acid in mixture with amino acid or mixture of polybasic carboxylic acids with amino acid. Method for preparing wound coating involves dissolving chitosan and collagen-like protein in indicated organic acid, dialysis of prepared solution, addition of amino acid, accessory substances and structure forming-agent and lyophilic drying. The prepared coating shows enhanced exploitation and curative indices.

EFFECT: improved preparing method, improved and valuable properties of coating.
