FIELD: construction set for children. SUBSTANCE: piece of construction set has connecting members and rodlike supporting members which may be attached to connecting members by lateral insertion and locking for forming coherent carcass structure. Connecting members and rodlike supporting members are joined to define cells formed as isosceles right triangles, with rodlike supporting members of one size serving to form hypotenuse of isosceles right triangle and rodlike supporting members of previous smaller size serving to form legs of this triangle. Piece of construction set is provided with drive system having drive gears of equal size and diameter corresponding to that of reducer drive link, driven gears of equal size and diameter corresponding to reducer driven link. Gears are adapted for engagement with drive or other driven gear. Such construction allows complex reducing mechanisms to be built and various speeds and mechanical effects to be obtained.
