FIELD: guns. SUBSTANCE: ventilated sighting bar that has pillars is joined to gun barrel by electric welding with current pulses. Welding is carried out from muzzle to cartridge chamber. Number of pulses is chosen from relation with τi= τp, where Nci is number of current pulses fed to i-th pillar; Ng is number of pulses fed to pillar in muzzle part of barrel; hi is thickness of barrel wall at point of welding of i-th pillar; hg is thickness of barrel wall in its muzzle part; τi- is length of current pulse; τp- length of pause between current pulses. Spelter in this case is placed in at least two blind cylindrical holes made in base of pillar in symmetry with its axis. Distance between axes of these holes is found from expression , where l is distance between axes of holes; V is space of blind cylindrical hole; h is height of clearance between joined parts; b is width of pillar; 0.7 is practical coefficient. EFFECT: enhanced strength of welded joint and diminished temperature deformation of barrel. 2 dwg
