ACTIVE-REACTIVE PROJECTILE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: artillery ammunition, specifically , projectiles with jet engines launched out of gun barrel. SUBSTANCE: jet engine of projectile is attached to war head and unit of stabilizers. Rear bottom of war head is manufactured in the form of cup which outer diameter is less than that of charge of engine. Circular protrusion is made on periphery of cup base and through grooves in other part. Annular grooves are made in outer and inner surfaces of engine case. Wall of body of cylinder block is profiled. Length of fin of unit of stabilizers from rotation axis to tip chord amounts to 0.5-1.2 length of engine and length of each cross-piece between perforation holes of body of unit of stabilizers amounts to 0.3-0.7 diameter of perforation holes. EFFECT: enhanced killing efficiency of projectile thanks to additional fragmentation of its members. 1 cl, 2 dwg
