RUBBER MODIFYING AGENT Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: rubber modifying agent has the following components, wt. -%: novolacs phenolformaldehyde resin modified with ε --caprolactam and/or oligomer-lactam concentrate, 50-90; and hardening agent - complex of hexachloro-para-xylene with hexamethylenetetramine at their mole ratio 1: 2, respectively, 10-50. Resin properties: density is 1.1-1.3 g/sm³, melting point is 90-120 C, nitrogen content is 5-6 wt.-%, mass part of insoluble oligomers is 0.2%, not above. Technical property of rubber: rupture resistance is 12-14 MPa, rupture elongation is 175-225%, hardness is 87-95 conventional units, elasticity at 20 C and 100 C is 20-23% and 43-46%, respectively.
