FIELD: instrumentation for mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to automatic control of moving objects and can be used for automatic control of directed travel of self-propelled mine heading machines. Device allows for measuring deviation of self-propelled mine heading machine from design direction of travel which is preset by optical ray. Used in device in function of actuator of scanning photodetector is step-by-step motor. Its control circuit is used as component of measuring circuit which converts deviation of mine heading machine from optical ray into digital code. This allows for elimination of random component errors from time and temperature drift of parameters of analogue converters. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
