FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed differential is designed to increase cross-country capacity and safety of vehicle by additional hand locking of driving wheels when moving straight ahead under extreme conditions for engine braking and to provide operation of differential when moving backwards over curved road of good state by transmission of torque separately to left and right sides. Under backward running conditions left and right mechanisms of positive shifting of forward running driving rollers are brought into position to transmit torque from engine for backward running with transmission of torque either to any or to both driving wheels of one axle.
