FIELD: transport engineering industry. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as self-locking differential gear. Bevel gearings of self-locking differential gear formed by differential side bevel pinions and bevel satellite pinions are helical and self-braking. Axles of bevel satellite pinions are radially displaced with regard to axis passing through center of differential side bevel pinions. Given design of self-locking differential gear provides for enhanced reliability of its operation and automatic unlatching under condition of releasing of brake during periods of overtaking and lagging of rotation of drive wheels of motor vehicle on normal and slippery roads.
