FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: shotblasting apparatus for surface treatment of coiled or bar metal has shot accumulating and consuming unit, working chambers with shotblasting devices, shot circulation system with screw conveyor shaft and elevator with drive and driven shafts which are connected in series, separator, mechanism for feeding material to be treated into chambers and device for controlling rotational speed of elevator driven shaft and screw conveyor shaft. Rotational speed controlling device has electronic unit and sensors mounted on mentioned shafts. Shot accumulating and consuming unit has hopper. Apparatus may be used in conjunction with drawing mill in lines for preparing metal for cold upset.
