INSTALLATION FOR SHOT BLASTING OF COILED OR ROD MATERIAL Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: shot blasting of coiled or rod material prepared for cold forging of parts. SUBSTANCE: installation with one system of shot circulation has shot blasting apparatus including four modules. Each module has working chamber in the form of parallelepiped with square cross section. One shot throwing apparatus is mounted in each chamber in such a way that each shot throwing apparatus is placed on different walls of successive chambers, walls forming square cross section of respective chamber. Electric drive of each shot throwing apparatus is arranged on respective opposite wall of each chamber. In all chambers walls forming their square cross section are inclined by 45 degrees relative to horizon. Shot circulation system is provided with auger conveyer shifted to a side from working chambers and joined with them by means of trays for removing shots. Installation also includes guiding sleeves arranged outside working zones of chambers. EFFECT: enhanced repairability, simplification of mounting-demounting system of units, reduced quantity of broken shots, enhanced strength of guiding sleeves. 3 cl, 4 dwg
