FIELD: wine-making and food industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of clarification of wines, juices and similar materials obtained from grape, fruits and berries. Method involves the use of natural bentonite of Tamansky peninsula having ratio of silicon dioxide to alkaline-earth metal oxides at the range from 8.5:1 to 15:1 that is added to product to be treated and kept up to complete clarifying. The best results can be obtained at activated natural bentonites using. Activated bentonite is obtained by thermic effect at 600-1000 C followed by treatment with acid at 105-110 C and neutralization.
