FIELD: automation of drilling of oil wells. SUBSTANCE: invention makes it feasible to optimize drilling process by direct adjustment of it at each time moment depending on measured parameters characterizing movement of drilling head. Physical parameter characterizing movement of drilling head in close proximity to drilling head is measured. Electric characteristic of drilled medium is measured in the capacity of physical parameter. Body of gear used for implementation of method has sockets to house electrodes of meter of physical parameter and transmitters of movement of body of drilling head.
