FIELD: drying technology. SUBSTANCE: settling chambers of drier are formed by guard boxes adjoining side walls of shafts. They are connected to discharge boxes of cooling zone and lower part of drying zone and are provided with vertical adjustable partition in upper portion; they are connected with one of fans of drying zones by means of air duct; they have ports with adjustable section in lower portion. Ports are provided with swivel shutters. Air used in drying and cooling zones may be mixed with fresh drying agent part furnace, thus reducing rate of filtration of air and enhancing degree of cleaning in settling chambers.
